Nereids are Greek mythological daughters of the Old Man of the Sea. 

They are sea creatures who protect those in, or on the water.

Galatea is made from mixed media on my photograph: embroidery, beach debris, net, smashed sea glass and sand residue.

The Nereids in my series are all situated on Pakefield beach, Lowestoft, where cliff erosion happens at pace. They are clothed in geo textiles found on the beach.
