A Day at the Seaside
A digital painting printed on Fuji Crystal archive paper.
Made from painting fragments of photographs of people, buildings, seascape and objects on Pakefield Beach, taken over the past 100 years.
Hide and Seek (2022)
This one’s a digillage. I use this word to describe work I make using both paper and digital collage. The end result is an archival print. These pieces take months to make, and knowing when they are finished is difficult!
The finished image comprises several collages, some digital photos I took (mainly of our old apple tree through the seasons), a graveyard and a couple of very old postcards. Finding the right title for a piece is the most difficult part for me - I hope you can see why I gave it the playful name I did.
